HOMELESSNESS

Some people found themselves on the streets for unforeseen reasons like fire outbreak, the death of a loved once the breadwinner, or due to constant unpleasant pressure from home. A lot of hopes have been dashed, and dreams crushed as a result of several talented minds that cannot find a resting place to birth their God-given dreams. At Merciful Global Corp, our mission is to give hope again by providing shelters and interim housing to great minds aspiring to create better lives for themselves. We at Merciful Global Corp are ready to put to work our several years of community service and employment experiences, by providing the best resources for individuals going through homelessness.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Love does not hurt. When love begins to hurt or pose a threat, the best and smartest option is to quit. I understand that many people remain in their marriage or relationship to uphold cultural values; please have in mind that your life is more valuable than any culture beliefs. When life is snuffed out of you, there can never be a replacement, but the archaic cultural beliefs could be revisited when you are gone. As my father would say, “Life has no duplicate.” When you find yourself in a life threatening relationship, please end it, and if you are unable to do so yourself, please call for help. There are qualified team members at Merciful Global Corp who would gladly get you the assistance that you deserve. Please do not buy into the lies that it is your fault to be assaulted; you have a right to your body. Nobody should subject you to their perverse way of life; you are an entity – you have a voice. Stand up for your rights. Merciful Global Corp believes in you!

IT IS NO LONGER ‘LOVE’ IF IT HURTS

SICKLE CELL DISEASE

Sickle cell anemia or disease is “an inherited blood disorder. It is marked by flawed hemoglobin. That’s the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen to the tissues of the body. So, sickle cell disease interferes with the delivery of oxygen to the tissues. Red blood cells with normal hemoglobin are smooth, disk-shaped, and flexible, like doughnuts without holes. They can move through the blood vessels easily. Cells with sickle cell hemoglobin are stiff and sticky. When they lose their oxygen, they form into the shape of a sickle or crescent, like the letter C. These cells stick together and can’t easily move through the blood vessels. This can block small blood vessels and the movement of healthy, normal oxygen-carrying blood. The blockage can cause pain.” – John Hopkins Medicine

According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “sickle cell disease (SCD) affects millions of people throughout the world and is particularly common among those whose ancestors came from sub-Saharan Africa; Spanish-speaking regions in the Western Hemisphere (South America, the Caribbean, and Central America); Saudi Arabia; India; and Mediterranean countries such as Turkey, Greece, and Italy.” – Center Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
